The bill would only cut taxes on the wealthy in the first year, but it'd also repeal Obamacare. That would give businesses — which account for 85 percent of the nation's businesses — more flexibility over how and when to reduce their tax bills.

"Our tax code is set in stone to make it simpler for us to grow and grow," the leaders announced. "But, as long as it's in our economic agenda, we'll continue to bring jobs back to America — not just a few big companies, not just the great majority of the people, not just a few small companies."

A "sequester" for the middle class is also on the table.

Senate leaders had wanted to give business and the government more flexibility, and the Senate would no longer allow Democrats to pass a "growth tax" bill during the next two years without the support of GOP majorities.

Those two changes would only take effect after the end of the year, and the last two years after.

Both lawmakers said that if they were in a veto-proof minority, they would not vote for that bill again as a result of the Senate's failure to pass a budget of less than the original deficit level over the next year.

  1. How much longer can we keep up this lefty bullsh*t we need to stay strong to our values.

  2. I can’t agree more, as my brother went on to become a volunteer in Syria, fighting alongside Syrian moderate opposition versus Assad – and died. All because US did not stop Assad in 2011-2012.
