The FBI was involved in the handling of Clinton's private email server, which resulted in the release of hundreds of thousands of pages in classified documents. Those documents, which include nearly 35,000 emails from her staff and more than 2 million pages of State Department correspondence, were not marked classified and contained top-secret information.

Clinton, who has been a leading voice against the Democratic National Committee, began her Senate campaign last Thursday, in which she sought to take some on board by proposing to use a non-classified email server, instead of a state-issued, non-referred server. Her campaign also plans on trying to increase its media presence, as several candidates have tried to distance themselves from the Democratic Party.

The U.S. Department of Justice agreed to end a $6.5 million settlement with the Democratic National Committee over the mishandling of Clinton emails during her time as secretary of state.

Trump, who has campaigned hard for the nomination, is one of several Republican contenders urging Trump to abandon the Democratic nominee in the primary.

The New York billionaire also took shots at Clinton on Sunday, suggesting she is not willing to change her support for Trump and her use of a private email server.

"It is wrong to call her a liar. She is an actual liar," Trump said. "I love to hear the lies she is spewing and it is disgraceful that she is speaking the truth, yet she is a phony and she did everything she can."

The release of the Clinton emails came during a week when Congress, including members of the Armed Services Committee and Foreign Relations Committee, are investigating her use of a private email server while Secretary of State.

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Monday he thought Clinton's use of a private email server while secretary of State and the release of the emails were "disconcerting and un-American."

The release comes after FBI Director James Comey confirmed last week that Clinton had been "extremely careless" and that the results of her handling of classified information were "extremely careless." He recommended no criminal charges be laid against Hillary Clinton.

Republicans did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

  1. How much longer can we keep up this lefty bullsh*t we need to stay strong to our values.

  2. I can’t agree more, as my brother went on to become a volunteer in Syria, fighting alongside Syrian moderate opposition versus Assad – and died. All because US did not stop Assad in 2011-2012.
