"We've started talking about ways to improve the performance of our restaurant," says Chris Mokhl, director of marketing and analytics at Goode Food & Wine.

Goode introduced the new tasting room this week, and Mokhl hopes other locations in Los Angeles and New York with more expansive dining options will join the group. When the restaurant opens in October it will host multiple dining events including The Ultimate Food Drive.

But Goode's restaurant is so popular, with reviews on Yelp for everything from $19 and more, to $250 for a burger and fries, that Mokhl says Goode has never had to go back to the drawing board or even try anything with a twist.

"The key is to get customers ready and get them going," Mokhl says.

What Goode won't do on its own is have its own tasting room or sit and watch "The Ultimate Food Drive," even at a $300 discount.

That's what Goode and its partners need to make them feel welcome and safe on any day.

"We look at the customer and try to have a conversation about what's right for one of our customers or the other person in this place. So people don't just come here to eat at bad restaurants.

"To us if something happens, this is what we are trying to do. Don't fall prey to it."

And that's a good thing, Mokhl says: "We are doing something different when it comes to food. It is to make it healthy for people who are hungry, they don't only want a healthy meal, but it also makes the world a better place for everyone."
